Antique André Delatte Nancy Monumental 26.5" Art Deco Pink Mottled Glass Berluze Vase

Made in France c. 1920s-1930s.

Approximately 26 1/2" High × 7" Long × 5 3/4" Wide, 1.52 lb.

Exceptional large-scale French Art Deco art glass vase by André Delatte (1887–1953) of Nancy, France, dating to approximately the 1920s–early 1930s.

This striking hand-blown berluze-form vase features an exaggerated, exceptionally long slender neck rising from a rounded bulbous body.

The glass is decorated in a beautiful mottled or marbled palette of soft pink, dusty rose, lavender and white.

The mottled decoration becomes elongated into vertical streaking as it travels upward through the drawn neck, emphasizing the vase's dramatic proportions.

The body bears the authentic engraved “A Delatte / Nancy” signature with Delatte's characteristic stylized A/D ligature.

André Delatte established his glassworks in Nancy/Jarville, France in the early 1920s and became an important producer of French Art Deco decorative glass. His elongated berluze forms are particularly recognizable for their spherical or bulbous bodies and extraordinarily long, narrow necks.

Excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Please review photographs for the natural characteristics of hand-blown glass and surface details consistent with age.
