Antique German .830 Silver Six-Lobed Footed Bowl Attributed to Neresheimer
Made in Germany c. 1900.
Approximately 3 5/8" High x 6 1/8" Diameter at Widest.
Approximately 260 grams total.
An elegant antique German solid silver footed bowl, attributed to Ludwig Neresheimer & Co. of Hanau, Germany, circa 1900.
The distinctive six-lobed flower-form bowl has a delicately pierced geometric gallery around the rim, a gently planished surface, and a complementary six-section scalloped pedestal foot.
The unusual architectural floral silhouette makes it an appealing small centerpiece, decorative serving bowl or collector's silver object.
The underside bears the German crescent-and-crown national silver marks, an 830 fineness stamp (83% silver), and a shield-shaped manufacturer's hallmark containing what appears to be a stylized Gothic lowercase n. This shield has similarities to documented Neresheimer trademarks. German national silver marking dates from 1888 onward.
Excellent antique condition. No dents, cracks, repairs or separation at the six seams. Interior shows surface scratches, patina and age-related wear consistent with use and age. Small black dot interior bowl. Please examine all photographs as part of the condition description.
