Approximately 8 1/2" High including the lion finial x 7 1/2" Long x 4 1/2" Wide.
Antique American Victorian pressed-glass oval covered serving dish attributed to Gillinder & Sons, Philadelphia, in the Frosted Lion pattern, introduced in the late 1870s.
The oval clear glass bowl and fitted lid feature decorative molded borders, with a beautifully detailed satin-frosted reclining lion finial resting its paw on a block.
The low oval frosted pedestal is ornamented with reclining lions in relief amid foliage, creating a striking contrast with the clear glass.
Very good antique condition overall. Some imperfections inherent to the original glass manufacturing process. One small flea bite along the upper edge of the frosted glass area.
