Made in France c.1890-1910

Approx. 1" High x 9 1/2" Diameter x 9 1/2" Deep.

Beautiful stunning antique finely detailed French 19thC Sèvres Marked Porcelain Cabinet Portrait Plate depicting Marie-Thérèse Louise of Savoy, the Princesse de Lamballe, was the fiercely loyal, tragic chief confidante and lady-in-waiting to Queen Marie Antoinette.

Features a beautifully hand-painted central portrait with raised Jeweled enamel, framed by a delicate pastel border and a heavily decorated scalloped rim covered in gold scrollwork and floral gilding.

Artist signed bottom right of portrait Debrie.

The back of the plate features an impressive array of historical tribute marks:

* Handwritten iron-red script reading "Mme de Montespan" and "France".

* A green oval factory stamp marked S.46.

* A blue crowned royal monogram LP 1846 seal.

* A red cogwheel Château de St. Cloud palace destination stamp.

Note for Collectors: The inclusion of the handwritten country designation indicates this high-quality piece was produced during the late 19th to early 20th-century Belle Époque era for the luxury export market on a 19thC Sèvres marked plate.

Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, hairline fractures, repairs, or glaze crazing. The central portrait artwork remains vibrant and sharp, and the heavy gold gilding along the scalloped rim is remarkably intact with virtually no visible rub-wear. Normal wear from age.
