Boch Frères La Louvière Napoleon Commemorative Plates Set of 12 Belgium

Made in Belgium c. 1920s-1930s.

Each Plate Approx. 1 1/4" High x 9 1/2" Diameter.

Vintage Boch Frères La Louvière Napoleon commemorative plate collection – set of 12 different historical scenes.

A striking matched collection of twelve black-and-white transfer-decorated earthenware plates by Boch Frères, La Louvière, Belgium.

Each plate features a different scene from the life and military campaigns of Napoleon Bonaparte, surrounded by an elaborate Napoleonic border with crowned “N” medallions, laurel wreaths and military trophies.

Among the scenes represented are Bataille d’Iéna (14 October 1806), Bataille de Montereau, Bataille de Friedland, Bataille de Wagram, Bonaparte à Arcole, Mort du Maréchal Lannes, and additional Napoleonic military episodes. All 12 plates are different.

Printed underside factory mark reading “Made in Belgium / Boch Fᵉˢ / La Louvière / Fabrication Belge,” with impressed manufacturing/mold marks.

Manufacturing variation: Some plates have concentric circular rings molded into the center underside while others have a smooth center. The plates retain the same Boch factory marking and decoration; this is consistent with variation in blanks/molds or production runs and is not damage.

Excellent vintage condition. No chips or cracks. One plate has slight crazing visible on the underside/bottom. As vintage earthenware, minor age-related surface wear or small manufacturing irregularities may be present. Please examine photographs for condition and details.
