Vintage Herend Blue Garland PBG Covered Sugar Bowl Bonbonniere Rose Finial Model 1162

Made in Hungary c. 1980s.

Discontinued.

Approximately 3 1/2" high to the top of the rose finial x 3 1/8" diameter.

Beautiful Herend hand-painted fine porcelain small round covered bowl in the classic Blue Garland (PBG) pattern, made in Hungary.

The domed fitted lid is crowned by a finely modeled applied pink rosebud with green leaves, a charming sculptural detail that complements the delicate blue cornflower-like blossoms, green foliage, and fine pink connecting vines decorating both lid and bowl.

Gold gilt bands accent the lid and bowl rims.

The underside bears the blue Herend Hungary Handprinted factory mark and handwritten model and pattern designation, read as 1162/PBG.

Excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The delicate rose petals and applied green leaves are intact. Please review the photographs for the hand-painted details.
