Made in Hungary c. 1980s.
Discontinued.
Approximately 2 5/8" high x 11 1/2" long handle to handle x 9" diameter.
Elegant vintage Herend porcelain round covered vegetable serving dish, Form 86, in the hand-painted Blue Garland (PBG) pattern, made in Hungary, probably in the second half of the 20th century, tentatively c. 1960–1980.
This finely detailed covered serving piece features delicate blue floral garlands and sprays, green foliage, gilt accents, and a richly modeled basketweave-textured lower body.
The domed lid is crowned by a distinctive arched green branch handle embellished with applied pink rosebuds and leaves.
Coordinating green side handles and applied pink roses accent the body.
The combination of hand-painted decoration and sculptural porcelain flowers makes this a particularly decorative example of Herend craftsmanship.
The underside bears the blue Herend Hungary hand-painted factory mark and 86/PBG form and pattern designation.
Excellent vintage condition. All delicate applied pink flowers, green leaves, and the arched lid handle are intact. No damage to these applied elements reported. Please review the photographs for overall condition.
