Mid-Century Hollywood Regency Brass & Black Lacquer Low Console In the Style of Billy Baldwin for Frederick P. Victoria & Son

Made in USA 1970s.

Approx. 36" High x 30" Wide x 20" Deep.

Exceptional mid-century low-profile three-tier console or media étagère in the distinct design vocabulary of legendary American decorator Billy Baldwin.

Modeled after the iconic "Cole Porter" library shelving, this highly versatile piece features a pristine, heavy-gauge brass frame with beautifully engineered cylindrical post knuckles and seamless flush joins.

Unlike the more common glass-paneled variations, this premium iteration features thick, double-sided high-gloss black lacquer shelves that provide a striking, reflective contrast to the bright metallic framework.

Its rare 20-inch depth offers highly functional proportions, making it an ideal choice for a luxury bar station, turntable stand, media console, or statement end table. Unmarked, as is typical for high-end, custom designer commissions of this era.

Excellent vintage condition overall. The polished brass frame retains its original rich brilliance and deep mirror shine, exhibiting only minor, age-appropriate surface scuffing and small hairline wear to the clear lacquer finish on the top horizontal bars. The double-sided black lacquer panels are in exceptionally fine condition, retaining their mirror-like depth and smooth edges. The structure is entirely stable and solid. All original flat-head recessed assembly screws are intact, and the frame is complete with its original adjustable brass leveling feet and black protective floor glides.
