Antique Rookwood Pottery Turquoise Five-Sided Bird & Branch Vase Shape 1795,

Made in USA 1926.

Approximately 5 1/2" High x 4 1/2" Diameter, 1 lb.

American art pottery vase by Rookwood Pottery of Cincinnati, Ohio, dated 1926.

This distinctive five-sided, pentagonal vase, shape number 1795, features molded birds beneath a network of tree branches.

Its turquoise-blue glaze has lighter highlights on the raised relief and darker mottled accents concentrated on three panels.

The interior shows glaze pooling and a visible drip, consistent with variation in the glaze application.

The underside bears the Rookwood flame RP monogram, the Roman numerals XXVI indicating 1926, and shape number 1795. The design has been associated with Sallie (Sarah) Toohey.

Excellent antique condition. Fine glaze crazing is visible on the exterior and interior, with darker coloration especially in the upper relief and interior. Some minor surface marks and discoloration are present. No obvious chips or repairs are visible in the photographs.
